The very best of times for Christian bloggers to get new viewers and set new records for hits is during holidays. In the past I have found that Christmas and Easter week are the very excellent times to put your best religious foot forward and this year is no different.

Over the weekend –Good Friday through Easter -were among the best days ever on two of my blogs with 10 times the usual unique visitors on one and over 100 times the usual traffic on a second blog. What was the attraction? The quintessential post for Good Friday:

-It’s Friday, But Sunday’s Coming

At Christmas time I have found that my blog on where to find the Christmas story in the Bible always tops out and ranks among those which receive the most traffic for the year:

-The Christmas Story

The point is that holidays provide great material to post on and it is incredible how many folks are actually online looking specific articles about the current holiday. Christian holidays in particular naturally give Christian bloggers more web visibility and a greater audience than they usually have. The best part is many times you end up with a bunch of new readers and subscriptions.

The downside is that many Christians are so busy and heavily involved with church activities at the same time that they miss out on these natural opportunities to share their faith. One way to overcome this problem is to write holiday specific posts way ahead of time and schedule their publication for later during the holiday week or on the day itself. On some holidays I merely pull up past posts then rewrite and republish.            *Top
