Getting Started: With Townhall.com - An Evaluation

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

Townhall.com offers to host ‘free’ blogs. Take a look at my evaluation of Townhall and the possible uses. Also the pros and cons of the platform and blogging tool. I created a blog at Townhall in 30 minutes. Actually it could have been done faster. It is easy to start and easy to use. It’s not all that impressive however, a very limited blogging tool for ministry. My evaluation is posted on my new Townhall blog. Check it out.             *Top

Getting Started with Blogger: An Evaluation

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

I took a look at Blogger today as a potential host and platform for starting a blogging ministry. In order to understand how it works, I set up a new website using Blogger. It took me only 1hr 15 minutes to set it up but I could have done it a whole lot faster. Actually I was impressed with the ease and the results.

Then I posted an article on the new site. The posting procedure is quite simple and easy to use. It had all the editing tools that the more ‘advanced’ programs have. I actually found it easier to use than my Word Press program. It also had additional features like being able to change the color and type of script while in the midst of writing. I was impressed indeed.
